According to operational data from industry associations, industrial textile output from enterprises above a certain scale increased by 4.2% year-over-year in the first half of the year. Among these, the high-tech textiles and recyclable eco-friendly materials segments posted growth rates significantly higher than the industry average, becoming the core drivers of industry growth.
In terms of industrial upgrading, the transition toward green and low-carbon development has become a consensus across the industry. As the “dual carbon” goals continue to advance and environmental requirements from downstream end-users become stricter, the market share of traditional multi-material composite industrial fabrics—which are difficult to recycle—has gradually shrunk. Meanwhile, market acceptance of fully recyclable materials, such as homogeneous polypropylene composites, has continued to rise, accelerating their adoption as substitutes in sectors including tarpaulins, packaging, and geotextiles. At the same time, the industry’s move toward high-end products is accelerating. The application scenarios for high-performance fibers and composite materials in emerging fields such as transportation, safety protection, and new energy are constantly expanding, and the added value of products continues to rise.
From a regional development perspective, the Yangtze River Delta region continues to lead the national industrial textiles market, leveraging its comprehensive industrial chain support and strengths in technology R&D. Industrial clusters, exemplified by Haining, Zhejiang, are accelerating the transformation of enterprises toward green and smart manufacturing and high-quality production.
